THIS WEEK AT THE CETL – 11.18.2013

Hello All,

Thanksgiving is around the corner, but we still have a handful of workshops for you. Attend these workshops and make sure to get the points for your leaderboard before the semester is over (and the leaderboard is reset). Remember that individual and department leaderboard leaders will be officially recognized with a Professional Development award. Here are this week’s workshops:

  • On Tuesday, November 19th from 12:30-1:30pm on iPad as a Self-Contained Content Creation Tool you will learn how to use your iPad to create audio, video, post files into YouTube, Instagram, Google, and Blackboard.
  • On Wednesday, November 20th from 3-4pm on Engaging Linguistically Diverse Students faculty will meet and share experiences and tips for engaging linguistically diverse students. Led by: Dr. Elsa Anderson and other School of Education faculty.
  • On Thursday, November 21st from 3-4pm on Bookmarking can be Social Too! Learn about online bookmarking tools and apps that allow you to share your saved Internet searches.

With finals fast approaching we would like to invite you to the CETL STRESS RELIEVER GAME DAY all day on December 5th. Stop by the office all day to play games, get massages, refreshments, and for the drawing of prizes to forget the stress from finals for a few minutes.

Finally, please save the date on Monday, January 13th, 2014 (time and location TBD) for our Spring Featured Speaker Christina Robinowitz, President of The Cross-Cultural Coach Intercultural Services.
